Upcycle

Last night my husband went through his closet and pulled out a number of button up shirts that were designated to go to the thrift shop. I grabbed a few and thought "I could turn these into some dresses for my girls". I have been seeing all over Pinterest the tutorials on how to do that so I thought I'd give it a shot. I already had this pattern by Scientific Seamstress and decided to give it a try.

This is before:

It took me less than two hours to pull it together, but this is the final product:

This is the perfect dress pattern to buy if you have girls and it has such a versatility in options!!!!

Indoor Smore's

I am starting this blog as a way to share my craftiness and my girls :) Since it's the middle of summer now (because my oldest, Princess, starts school at the beginning of August), I have been trying to come up with ways that both my girls and I can be entertained without me losing my hair LOL. Today's activity was Smore's pops. I found the idea on this wonderful site called Pinterest. I tend to spend alot of time there looking for ideas for my girls :) I got the idea from this page here. The nice thing about these pops is that there is no heat required!!! And while it's a tad messy to make and eat, its a nice kid size treat!!!! My girls loved it!!
